The National Post says right-hander Scott Richmond has a shoulder impingement. The team says the 30 year-old North Vancouver native will undergo rehab in an effort to return to the mound.
Former Jay favourite Reed Johnson has signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, a.k.a. Evil Empire West. The California native and Cal State Fullerton ex spent the past two years with the Chicago Cubs and hit .255 as a spare part in Second City last season.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The latest rumours suggest that Kyle Drabek, Michael Taylor and Travis d'Arnaud are prospects that Toronto may receive for Halladay and there is still the possibility they acquire some prospects from Seattle. Seattle appears likely to include Phillipe Aumont, among others that possibly include Tyson Gillies, in a deal to Philadelphia for Lee. JA Happ and Joe Blanton took physicals in Philadelphia today, but it does not appear that either is in the deal, as far as is known at this point.
The dulcet tones of Buck Martinez are returning to the Canadian airwaves. Sportsnet.ca is reporting that the former Jays catcher/manager will be the team's new play-by-play voice for Rogers Sportsnet in 2010.
