The list of candidates is everyone who had 200 or more strikeouts in 2007, plus Smoltz who had 197.
Felix is more of a groundball guy: he was 21st last year in K/9 among pitchers with enough IP to qualify (1 behind McGowan). He was, however, 5th in GB% - 3 ahead of AJ and 5 ahead of Halladay.
I like Burnett here in the year before he can opt out of his contract.
    Other: A.J. Burnett.
He's going to have a healthy season and his career year, then he'll opt-out.
Now that Johan gets to face  pitchers 2-3 times /start, it should be a runaway
I'm getting a good ways out on a rather flimsy and semi-rotted limb and saying: Dustin McGowan.
For the American League anyway. I just have a feeling . . .
