FYI, hold your protests -- I did not include Shaun Marcum in the list because of the homer-vote factor. I did include Griffey because, well, it just seems wrong that he won't be there ...
I figured Moose would START the game in Yankee Stadium, so how he doesn't even make the roster, I just don't know.
Others considered as candidates for the list: Cole Hamels, Aubrey Huff, Xavier Nady and Jose Reyes. Any others?
The decision to choose Varitek over Navarro was bizarre.  Varitek was an All-Star quality player in 2005, and has been vile in 2008.
Ack.  Varitek was an All-Star quality player last in 2005...
Navarro is on the team.  A.J. Pierzynski certainly got snubbed by the players decision to elect Varitek.
Moose deserves to go.  Yeah he's a jerk but he's defied the odds and somehow is pitching very well and yeah it's yankee stadium for the last time..
