Ricciardi believes in character and chemistry so it's a nobrainer: Hudson stays and gets his ring.
    Bloody infield logjam. As for some of the comments made earlier--Koskie should not be playing 1B, Hill doesn't have enough power for 3B, Adams may improve but for now is average offensively and below-average defensively at SS, Hillenbrand is a decent 3B but his numbers are only mediocre at 1B. We all know about Hinske. Hudson is dazzling defensively and middling (at best) offensively.
I think it's fine to carry a great-defense-mediocre-offense second-baseman, and maybe an average SS, but you can't be average or below at every IF position and expect to win. Especially if Rios/Gross is your RF and Cat/Johnson your LF.
