It was a tough night on the farm for the affiliates. New Hampshire had the only win and that in a rain shortened game.

Iowa 4 Buffalo 3

New Hampshire 3 Portland 0 - 6 innings

Vancouver 2 Spokane 10

Bradenton 12 Dunedin 4

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

Joe Biagini took the loss in the Bisons game. He came into pitch in the ninth inning of a tied game and surrendered a two run home run. Gabriel Moreno has still not shown up in Buffalo. Cullen Large had three hits to be the leading hitter on the day in the organization.

In a rain shortened game, Spencer Horwitz had two hits and leads the Fisher Cats early with a .429 BA. Nick Fraze had a nice start, 4.1 shutout innings. Adrian Hernandez got the win, three outs, two walks, two K's.

Trent Palmer started for the C's and went three innings with four runs allowed. All four runs were unearned as the C's made four errors in one inning. In total the C's made seven errors, early season rustiness I hope. Addison Barger had two hits.

Kendry Rojas started for Dunedin but he didn't survive the first inning. The first four Dunedin pitchers all conceded multiple runs. Dunedin had just three hits. In a good sign Dasan Brown had two of them.

Three Stars

Third Star - Dasan Brown

Second Star - Nick Fraze

First Star - Cullen Large

Hypothetical trade proposal: would you offer Moreno (BA #7 prospect) for Corbin Carroll (BA #20 prospect)?

Moreno is probably the better prospect overall (in part because of Carroll's shoulder injury last year), but Carroll could be a very useful player for the Jays if he demonstrates that he's now fully healthy. He's 21, bats left, hits and runs well, and is an excellent defensive center fielder. The Jays could use him as their starting CF in 2023 and move Springer to a corner outfield position.

I'm not sure I would make the trade, as Moreno is a special talent, but I would give it some serious consideration, especially if Jansen establishes himself as an elite starting catcher.

Gabriel Moreno has joined the Bisons. However he is not on the provisional lineup for todays game.

Hayden Juenger, who has been touted as a reliver candidate, is starting for NH today. He could be starting just to get him regular work.

Rafael Ohashi started for Dunedin today and threw four innings with ten K's. He had 19 swinging strikes.

Lots of Ks, very few bb and no hits for Ohashi in 4IP and Juenger in 3IP.

Juenger could be a big time breakout candidate, he does have premium velocity.

The pitching was great in the minor leagues.

I don't know much about Allgeyer but this is his 2nd very good outing.

Also don't know much about Paxton Schultz but he did well for NH. I am very curious about Gieson Urbaez. His numbers were not good last year in FCL or Dunedin yet he skipped Vancouver. He is also quite young for AA. The Jay's development personnel are quite cautious in their promotions. He was signed Oct 14,2020 as a 20 year old and has only played in 2021 as a pro.

Top and young prospects like Juenger, Ohashi and Robberse were outstanding.
