The starting pitching wasn't good on Saturday. Nick Allgeyer, Maximo Castillo and Adam Kloffenstein were all hit around. New Hampshire were the only team to win thanks to five hitters going deep.

Scranton 7 Buffalo 4

New Hampshire 9 Altoona 7

Eugene 7 Vancouver 3

Fort Myers 7 Dunedin 3

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

Gabriel Moreno singled in the first Buffalo run but was thrown out trying to go to second. Moreno was DH'ing but when his spot came around again he was pinch hit for. We dont know if he hurt himself trying to go to second.

Nick Allgeyer had another bad start. He allowed seven runs in four innings with two home runs.

Five Fisher Cat hitters homered. John Aiello and Orelvis hit two run shots. Luis De Los Santos, Zac Cook and Spencer Horwitz hit solo shots. I mentioned yesterday that De Los Santos's bat was heating up. He went 2-4 in this game and is hitting .297. Ryan Gold went 3-3.

Maximo Castillo's hot streak came to an end. Altoona scored three in the first, two in the second and one in the third. Castillo did go five innings. On the positive side he struck out six in five innings. Hagen Danner pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for the save.

Things didn't go well for Adam Kloffenstein again. He went four innings with four runs allowed including two home runs. Thomas Ruwe, the 6'9" reliever is settling in. I thought he might go to New Hampshire to start the season but he did not. He has now thrown five innings with a WHIP of 1.00 and six K's in five innings.

Miguel Hiraldo is another whose bat is heating up. He had two more hits to bump his average to .231.

Adriel Sotolongo homered, his third. Dasan Brown had two hits and walked. Michael Dominguez started, went four innings, and gave up two runs. It was the best starting performance of the night.

Three Stars

Third Star - John Aiello

Second Star - Ryan Gold

First Star - Luis De Los Santos

The Warmouth with 3 walks. At least one was likely intentional as he is so fearsome right now.

Hopefully he keeps it up. His stats are quite good

Orelvis hit a solo homer, but went 1-5 and left a boatload of runners on. He is hitting .208 with a 1/19 W/K.
