Addison Barger is on fire in Vancouver, hitting .363 / .429 / .675 over 91 PA since May 26. And most encouragingly, his K rate over that span is 15%. Last year in Dunedin his Ks were sky high even when he was hitting well.

Dasan Brown is getting interesting. 131 WRC+ with potentially + D in CF. Ks too much and doesn't have a lot of power but he's gone from 79 WRC+ to 131 this year. Still most likely a bench guy but you can see how he can evolve into more now.

Brown is indeed off to a decent start for a 20 year old CF in low A ball.  He's slashing .260/.352/.442 with an 8/27 W/K in 89 PA, courtesy of a .375 BABIP.  He's made a little progress on his K rate so far this year.  He's going to have keep chipping away at it in order to make it.  His IsoP is way up and that means he may have a little more leeway on the strike zone control front. He is at this stage of his career ahead of where Mike Cameron was.  Cameron took a step forward at age 21 going from a 27/101 W/K in the Midwest League at age 20 to a 60/101 W/K in the high A Carolina League at age 21.

It's hard to get a good read on Brown. He had an OK April but then went on the IL. He played six rehab games for the FCL Jays and now just one for Dunedin, yesterday. I think we need another month of results to see what he is shaping up to be.

As long as his fielding and speed continue to have ++ potential then yeah there's enough in his line to keep him interesting. He's had the patience since day one, and this year is showing that maybe the power is starting to come on a bit as he matures.

But even if that legit medium pop is real he still has two giant strikes against him - his 30+K% is just way too high, and the persistently well over 100pt gap between his babip and average is not going to hack it i don't think.

If he an start improving on at least one of those areas (without losing his new medium pop) then I'll start to get excited about him a bit, but having two holes in his line that bad makes him a longshot to me right now still.
