New Hampshire were almost no hit. Their first and only hit came with two outs in the eighth, then the skies opened. Leo Jimenez continued his hot hitting leading Vancouver to victory. Buffalo had the bats working to win. It rained on Dunedin as well.

Buffalo 6 Iowa 5

New Hampshire 0 Reading 2 - 8 innings

Hillsboro 2 Vancouver 12

Dunedin 2 St Lucie 2 - suspended in fourth inning

FCL Blue Jays 0 FCL Yankees 4

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

A good night for Buffalo hitters, 12 hits led to six runs. Otto Lopez and Spencer Horwitz had three hits each. Logan Warmoth homered, a two run shot, and walked twice. Chavez Young had two hits and scored twice. Nick Podkul also had two hits.

The Bisons used seven pitchers.

The Fisher Cats didn't have a hit until there were two outs in the eighth. Sebastian Espino singled to break the no hitter and then the game was called due to rain.

Adam Kloffenstein went 5.2 innings, tied for his longest outing in AA. Reading scored one run from seven hits and two walks. He struck out two and had nine groundballs. He induced three double plays.

Leo Jimenez was banging the ball all over the park. He homered and tripled twice, scoring four runs and driving in two. Jimenez was also hit by a pitch and later left the game. Hopefully it was just because of the score and not due to the HBP. Miguel Hiraldo hit a two run home run, Andres Sosa chipped in a solo shot.

Jimmy Robbins threw four good innings, one run allowed on five hits with six K's.

In Dunedin Gabriel Martinez and Rainer Nunez had two hits before the rains came. Dahian Santos wasn't as good as he normally is. St Lucie got two runs on four hits in three innings.

The FCL Jays had just three hits. The most notable thing from this game was that Irv Carter pitched fairly well. Carter has had a tough go of it this season but on Saturday he went three innings allowing just one run. He gave up two hits and two walks with two K's.

Three Stars

Our prospects are doing quite well. Really pleased to see Leo developing power and Kloffenstein had a decent game.

The draft today should help the farm. There is a bit of information available. Mock drafts and scouting reports.

Shi Davidi says Tiedemann is headed to AA after the futures game.

Tiedemann's promotion is interesting. He has been capped at 5 innings per start and he has made 14 starts so far. He might make 7 starts the rest of the way and end up with 100-110 innings.

Feels like they'd be looking at potential next season call up if necessary. Or even outside competition for 2023 spot. But that seems highly unlikely to put it mildly.

Alejandro Melean made the opener start for Vancouver, throwing 2 hitless innings with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts.  He's been very good this year with 8 walks and 35 strikeouts in 32 innings and a 1.69 ERA.

I don't know what role they are planning for him, but if it's something like this, they could move him quickly too
