Features Batters Box Get Together
There was a recent suggestion that we hold a Batters Box get together at a game this season. Our bauxites are spread throughout Canada and the world so it is uncertain how many would be able to make it to a Toronto get together. So lets get some expressions of interest.

Please answer the following questions:

1. Would you be interested in attending a get together at, or before, a Blue Jay game?

2. Would you prefer a 7pm weekday game, a 1pm weekday game (June 1), or a weekend game?

3. Do you have a preference between May or June? This assumes July or August would be less likely due to vacations or cottages.

4. Realistically are you very likely to attend, 50/50 or would have to take some actions to get there?

5. Do you have any other suggestions for the get together, date, locations, etc.

Oh man, as much as I would love to go (and I live right on the Yonge St subway line, so access isn't an issue), given my wife's age and underlying health issues I am avoiding crowds for the time being. If and when we feel more comfortable I would definitely be down to meet up with y'all...but I suspect live sports & live music are not in my immediate future.

That being said, if people were to meet up at a patio before I game, I'd be glad to drop by for a chilled beverage or two.

At the stadium box office, can I purchase a single-game ticket without having a cellphone?

I gather the Rogers Centre does not accept any cash.

From knowing a fair number of the bar staff that work in the Dome, I can say with certainty they don't accept cash at the concession stands or bars. Not sure about the ticket offices though.

I do work a lot of concerts during the summer season so my schedule is fairly sporadic week to week, but with that in mind a Da Box outing at a ballgame sounds like a swell idea to me.

As mostly a lurker, I’d love to do this. 50/50 depending on dates in May or June. Weekday = weekend for me. Patio before (or after depending on game time) sounds good too.

Sounds like fun, but all depends on 1001 things for me as a single parent. Weekend far preferred as weekdays with kids pre-summer is near impossible.

I would love to put some names to faces and make a game.  I got cancelled a while back, so I am available most of the time. 

I know lexomatic and I have talked about watching a game at Leftfield brewery sometime.  Is that an option for people?  It's east end, but a bit off the beaten path - aka, the TTC.
