Notes

Zach Thompson got the start for the Herd and put up five shutout innings but could not get an out in the sixth as he was charged with four runs as Hayden Juenger could not strand any of the three runners inherited. Jimmy Burnette pitched a shutout eighth. Orelvis Martinez singled and drew two walks. Rafael Lantigua and Damiano Palmegiani both doubled and Tanner Morris had a single. The Bisons were 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position.

C.J. Van Eyk pitched two shutout frames before giving up three unearned runs in the third as the result of a Michael Turconi error at short. Van Eyk gave up three hits with a 3-3 strikeout/walk total after a 61-pitch outing. Alejandro Melean pitched three scoreless frames with three Ks and Adrian Hernández added two goose eggs and two whiffs. Andrés Sosa swatted his first Double-A home run as New Hampshire had just three hits in the game. Trevor Schwecke had two walks and two steals as the Cats were also 0-for-8 in the RISP department.

Reigning Northwest League Pitcher of the Week Adam Macko shut down his former Everett teammates but it did not come easy. He got out of a bases-loaded jam in the fifth, caused in part by his own fielding error. Leam Mendez, Ian Churchill and Ryan Boyer kept the potent Everett offence off the board. Churchill stranded two Mendez walks before Boyer worked a one-hit ninth for the save. Ryan McCarty doubled home Peyton Williams who took one for the team in the second inning. McCarty would double and score on a Jommer Hernández two-bagger in the fifth before a Dasan Brown RBI groundout rounded out the scoring in the seventh. He also contributed a stolen base. Gabby Martinez had a 2-for-4 night. Jeff Wehler made two key defensive plays at second to help out Macko. The top four batters in the order—Josh Kasevich, Wehler, Cade Doughty and Williams were a combined 0-for-15. More details on the game can be found right here.

Great that F Perez got some recognition. Daniel Guerra was almost as good. 10 er in his last 29 IP. A scouting report was provided by a bauxite on N Perez. 96mph FB I believe. Don't know anything about Guerra. 19 years old 6'6" 230lb.
