Eddie Micheletti Jr tied the Vancouver game with a home run and two innings later hit a go ahead home run leading the C's to the win. The super hot Charles McAdoo homered again as he and Peyton Williams helped the Fisher Cats win. A couple of hot prospects have hit a speed bump as they move up the ladder. Both Trey Yesavage and Johnny King did not have good games.

NOTES

Andres Tolhurst threw six innings of one hit ball against Rochester on Tuesday. On Sunday he went five innings of four hit ball with six K's. Rochester are not a good team but Tolhurst has now had two very good performances in a row.

Rainer Nunez homered for Buffalo's only run. The Bisons had six hits, Nunez and Phil Clarke had two each.

Like Tolhurst, Trey Yesavage had to face the same team for the second time in a week. It wasn't a problem through two innings but the third was different. A lead off walk started it. That was followed by an out, a single, and a sac fly. Two outs, one run in, not too bad. But the next hitter homered and that was followed with a triple before he could get out of it. The inning had 28 pitches and that was it for Yesavage. He has a 6 ERA in AA. As I said mid week, it has been a big jump from college to AA in less than a year. Lets see how he adapts to what AA hitters are doing.

While the NH pitchers were being scored upon, the Cats were scoring too. Charles McAdoo homered for his fourth home run of the week. He also singled and walked. He is pushing for a promotion. Peyton Williams also homered, a three run shot, and added two singles. Ryan McCarty, Cade Doughty and Gabriel Martinez had two hits each.

Eddie Micheletti Jr went deep twice, both solo shots. His first one tied the game in the sixth inning and his second one put the C's ahead for good in the eighth. Carter Cunningham also hit a home run. Cutter Coffey and Sean Keys had two hits each.

Jackson Wentworth started and did well until the fifth inning. In that inning an Everett hitter took him out of the park for a three run home run.

Johnny King was making his second start in A ball. In the second inning a single and two walks loaded the bases with two outs. The next hitter doubled to score all three runs. The inning needed 32 pitches and that was it for King. Like Yesavage he is still adapting to a higher level. He did have four K's in his two innings. Silvano Hechavarria had six K's in three innings.

JR Freethy homered to lead off the game and that was Dunedin's only run. In total they had five hits.

Wasn't long ago some Jays writer(s?) speculated Yesavage could finish the season in the Jays pen. Yeah, that's not going to happen.

Micheletti's line has been good all year aside from a crazy low babip. And now the babip is rising slowly and surely up to something more reasonable, and his line is starting to look really good. Should be bumped up soon if this keeps up. Too old to be held back.
