The #BlueJays affiliates took four out of five Monday night. New Hampshire's game in Erie was rained out. Buffalo and Dunedin were off.
Further encouragement from Sean Reid-Foley and some of our advanced hitting prospects. Vancouver started their season with a bit of a thud and are waiting on Griffin Conine to give their roster some prospect flair.

The short season leagues are starting. Vancouver get going on Friday. On the field on Thursday, New Hampshire had the only win with TJ Zeuch dominating for eight innings. Buffalo lost with Danny Jansen driving in the only run. Dunedin also lost but Logan Warmoth is getting back on track. Lansing haven't won since they clinched a playoff spot. On Thursday they lost in extra innings after tying the game in the ninth.

Its mid-season so how are our top prospects performing? Today I rate their first halves against expectations. On the field it was a bad night. Tim Mayza gave up three runs in the bottom of the ninth to turn a two run lead into a loss. New Hampshire and Lansing lost easily. Dunedin were on their way to a big loss until they scored four in the ninth to make it a more respectable one run loss.
The #BlueJays affiliates won four of six games Tuesday, including a near no-hit bid.
The Lansing Lugnuts are back in the postseason for the first time in three years to highlight a .500 night for the #BlueJays affiliates. New Hampshire had the night off.
Short of an injury to a phenom prospect, a generally productive weekend for our hopes and dreams. Bo Bichette picked up some of the slack in New Hampshire, while the promote Kevin Smith (again) fan section got louder. On the mound, Sean Reid-Foley pitched like a top pitching prospect in Buffalo and T.J. Zeuch continues to build up his innings in New Hampshire. Don't look now, but Angel Perdomo isn't walking guys anymore!

Buffalo won 9-5 with 12 hits. New Hampshire are on a cool streak and they lost again. They have lost four of their last five games and six of their last eight. Dunedin bashed out 15 hits and won 9-3. Lansing lost 4-2 even though they outhit their opponents 9-4. Kevin Smith had a big night as did Danny Jansen. Ryan Noda hit two home runs as there was competition for the three stars.
Vlad Guerrero Jr. had to leave his game today as he aggravated his leg injury. Before he left he picked up two hits but the excitement came after he left. The Fisher Cats came back to tie the game late and then get a walk off win thanks to a throwing error. Lansing received shutout pitching to beat division rivals Bowling Green 2-0. It was a quiet night on the farm for both Buffalo and Dunedin who lost 4-1 and 3-1 respectively. The best performance for Buffalo was by Rowdy Tellez who had a couple of extra base hits including a home run off a rehabbing Jordan Zimmerman.

The #BlueJays affiliates won three out of five Tuesday night.
A quiet night for the #BlueJays affiliates with just two games played but a productive one as they won both. Buffalo, New Hampshire and Lansing had the night off.
Injuries were the common theme over the weekend, but the minor league system looks good and will be further enhanced by the end of the day.

Buffalo, New Hampshire and Lansing all went to extra innings. It worked for Buffalo and Lansing but not for New Hampshire. With the new "runner on second" rule, none of these extra inning games went long and indeed there have been few long games this season.
Ryan Noda hit his first home run of the year in the eighth inning to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 lead and set Lansing up for the win. Maximo Castillo had his best start of the season. Buffalo won 7-3 with several good performances. New Hampshire came from behind to win thanks to a couple of late home runs from two of the lesser known players. Vlad did not reach base for the second time this season, cancel the promotion! Dunedin were rained out.
A ninth-inning collapse spoiled a perfect Tuesday night on the farm for the #BlueJays affiliates. The three winning clubs combined to score 29 runs.
