Riley Tirotta was promoted to Buffalo just over two weeks ago. He has made his presence felt. On Friday he went deep twice helping Buffalo win, and he is now hitting over .400 in his short AAA career. Ryan McCarty had a big hit to help New Hampshire win. Dunedin won in eleven innings. Vancouver had a bad day.

There were a couple of notable pitching performances too. Two of the Jays top pitching prospects, Adam Macko and Fernando Perez pitched well. Even Aaron Sanchez had a good start.

Buffalo's game went to extra innings. The Bisons scored two runs in the tenth but lost when Lehigh Valley scored three. New Hampshire scored two in the top of the ninth to win. Dunedin's game went 12 innings but they lost. Vancouver lost it early, so just one win for the affiliates.

Sunday was a no fun day, three games, three losses, one rain out. New Hampshire put up the best effort but a three run bottom of the ninth for Akron cost them a win. Josh Kasevich was the New Hampshire player of the game. Spencer Horwitz homered for the second day in a row.

Spencer Horwitz and Steward Berroa combined for nine hits in Buffalo's win. Gabriel Martinez had a big hit as New Hampshire won. Vancouver shut out Tri-City behind Rafael Sanchez. Dunedin and the FCL Jays lost.

Leo Jimenez was placed on the IL after being hit by a pitch in Fridays game. Michael Turconi has promoted to Buffalo to take his place and Ryan McCarty is heading for New Hampshire to replace Turconi.

Vancouver played two and won both. Both their starting pitchers were excellent. The FCL Jays also won but the other three teams lost. There was a scary end to the Buffalo game.

In other news, Ricky Tiedemann is throwing again and should be in an FCL game next week. His return is timely as Chad Dallas and Trent Palmer are both on the IL. Also Alejandro Melean was released.

It was a down day for the major league team but it was good news all around on the farm. Four games, four wins, lots of runs, good pitching. Buffalo and New Hampshire had double digits in hits. Vancouver and Dunedin had fewer hits but excellent starting pitching. The affiliates four starting pitchers allowed three runs combined!
