I disown the Jeter chant. Just because, for that split second, we're chanintg Derek Jeter.

How about filling in the Jeter with Crozier, to complement that catch he made last year.

Firstly you can't disown something you don't own.

Secondly, the satirical nature of the chant draws attention to how overrated Derek Jeter is in that many would assume he would perform above and beyond others in defensive situations - in actuality when one chants the aforementioned chant, one is not only decrying the poor defensive abilities of the player in question, but also drawing attention to the ridiculousness of the overrating of the said Yankees shortstop, in that one, while implying that one of the previously mentioned mindset would state that Derek Jeter makes that catch, is in fact implying the opposite.
