In the extremely early going lets look at a few stats for fun...
Leader in K's: Matt Boyd: 18 in just 9  1/3 IP vs 4 BB 4 H 1 R 0 ER.  Yet somehow he has an 0-1 record.  Much better than last year for him in AA.  MIght see him in September.
HR: Devon Travis with 3.  10 guys have 2.
SB: Carlson, Chris has 4 to go with 2 caught.  Quite the thing to have 6 attempts with just 6 hits and 4 walks. Down in Lansing.
Walks: Bautista leads with 9, next is Dickerson, Chris with 7 in AAA.
Guys with a 1000+ OPS so far: Dickey Joe Thon in Lansing, Devon Travis, Andy Fermin in Dunedin, Mekly Mesa in CF in AA.

Notable names:
Josh Thole: 267/353/267 in AAA
Kawaskai: 250/250/500 in AAA
AJ Jimenez: 1/4 in AA so far with 2 K's

Gerry ... Any word on Michael Saunders ? He hasn't played since April 12th when he was replaced as the DH after one at bat (a single) and scoring a run in the first inning .

jgadfly: Think it was a hamstring injury that's been reported on Saunders, I believe I heard on maybe even one of the Jays games he should be back in Dunedin's lineup tonight.

Got to watch the Lugnuts last two games on milb.tv, was shocked to see Thon hit with some power and thought Urena looked pretty slick at short.

I guess this is a make-or-break season for Thon Jr with the Jays. They gave him a $1.5M bonus to sign and I believe they have to put him on the 40 man roster this offseason. Do the Jays do it? Probably if he even has a half decent season.

Walks: Bautista leads with 9, next is Dickerson, Chris with 7 in AAA.

If any of Devon, Pillar and Pompey struggles, would Dickerson be promoted ?

Any word on Michael Saunders ?

Same concern I have

ramone summarized the Saunders situation. If he does play today he would probably be a week to ten days away from joining the major league team.

There are only 4 outfielders on the 40 man roster so if the Jays need another one, and if they can make space on the 40 man, they would promote whoever was hot at that time, Dickerson, Gindl, Carrera or Glenn. And perhaps Dirks at some point.

Where does Andy Burns get to play?

If Dwight Smith is now a 2B, where does Jon Berti play?

If Jonathan Diaz is not a good hitter, how about demote Diaz and promote Schimpf to stay in AAA, not just as a depth transaction for Burns to stay in AAA after Goins' going to Toronto ? In more general terms, promote fielders who can hit to AAA, and defensive wizards to AA ? Both higher level of minor league can take veteran hitters who can be promoted to Toronto.

Smith has played every game this year in LF, for the record, so looks like the 2B experiment is over before it started. maybe because of travis.

Smith also happens to be off to another good start at the plate in AA, picking up right where he left off in A+ last year. he keeps up this type of hitting for long he'll be in buffalo in a couple months imo.
