I've always been a fan of Matt Dean. If he had have 30 extra base hits plus 15-18 HRs with a strikeout rate of 22% then it'll be a successful season and i will be a happy camper.

Anthony Alford has really hit the ground running.

Great news considering he's imo clearly the highest ceiling position talent in the system.

Boyd's outing yesterday was pretty good.  He gave up a run in the first and then put up a string of zeroes through 6 innings- the Fisher Cats broke a 1-1 tie in the 5th and then piled on in the bottom of the 6th.  In the top of the 7th, Boyd struck out a batter, walked a batter and gave up a double and was pulled.

I ran his AA splits for 2014 and 2015.  Despite the ugly ERA in 2014, he's been very effective against both RHH and LHH in double A overall.  He now has 14 starts under his belt in double A and could be promoted to triple A soon.
