In a role reversal of Monday, the affiliates went 1-3 Tuesday with the only win coming in the Dominican Republic. Lansing had nothing to do with this.

Indianapolis, IN — The Bisons have fallen to .500 again after losing to the Pirates affiliate. Indy got an unearned run off Andrew Albers (2-7) in the first after a two-out error by Ramon Santiago at short. A leadoff walk, two stolen bases and two singles led to two more runs in the second. Albers did find his groove by retiring eight batters in a row and nine of the last 10. The three runs he allowed came on four hits and and three walks while striking out three for a Game Score of 54. Ten of his 11 outs in play were on the ground. Todd Redmond worked a one-walk eighth and Phil Coke made his organizational debut by walking one and striking out one in a scoreless ninth. I can't wait for Coke to join Chris Colabello in Toronto!
Matt Hague is still not horrible as he put the Bisons on the board with a solo home run in the third. He added a single for a two-hit night. Andy Burns was the other Bison to reach base twice with a single and a walk. Santiago, Alex Hassan, Brad Glenn and A.J. Jimenez put up a one in the hit column with Jimenez stealing his first base of the year. Daric Barton and Dalton Pompey were a collective 0-for-8 with five strikeouts with Barton getting the unwanted hat trick.

Manchester, NH — The Fisher Cats wound up on the wrong end of a see-saw battle that saw both teams trading runs until the Orioles affiliate got the winning run in the seventh. Cory Burns (2-4) coughed up the losing run on a single, a stolen base and a double. Burns — who struck out a pair — took over for John Anderson who limited Bowie to a couple of runs on four hits and a walk with three K's over six innings. His Game Score was 58 but 10 of his 14 outs in play were in the air. Danny Barnes loaded the bases with two hits and a walk but he struck out two to escape the jam in the eighth. Wil Browning tossed a perfect ninth with a strikeout.
Jorge Flores and Ryan Schimpf brought in both runs with RBI singles in the third and sixth innings respectively. Schimpf's single scored a Melky Mesa triple. Flores and Schimpf were the only Fisher Cats with two-hit performances. K.C. Hobson, Jack Murphy and Shane Opitz all had base hits with Murphy and Opitz hearing ball four once. Opitz also stole his first base of the year. Dwight Smith Jr. was 0-for-3 but wound up with a couple of walks. Ronald Torreyes was 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Matt Newman was 0-for-4. New Hampshire — who are below .500 at 25-26 — left nine men on base and were 2-for-11 with runners 180 feet away or less.

Clearwater, FL — The D-Jays rallied late before losing this one in overtime. Ian Parmley, Jorge Saez and Roemon Fields all singled and scored in the eighth inning after Christian Lopes brought them home with a single before Lopes was thrown out trying to take the extra base. Jason Leblebijian had the only extra-base hit with a double. Parmley picked up a base on balls to get on base twice. The heart of the order — L.B. Dantzler, Mitch Nay and Derrick Loveless — went 0-for-12 with Loveless whiffing three times. A hit by pitch prevented Dickie Joe Thon from joining the 0-for-4 club.
Jairo Labourt put together a quality start of six innings and three runs by scattering five hits and a walk. He struck out five and picked off a runner at first base to arrive at a Game Score of 54. Eight of his 10 outs in play were of the fly ball variety but he finished up strong by retiring the last seven hitters in a row. Matt Dermody navigated his way around a hit and a walk for a scoreless seventh. Carlos Ramirez (0-2) threw a no-hitter over 2-1/3 innings with a strikeout but he was charged with the tie-breaking run thanks to two of his four walks in the fateful tenth. Phil Kish being unable to bail Ramirez out as he walked a batter to load the bases before yielding the game-losing single.

San Pedro de Macoris, DR — The boys from the Dominican got their first win in three times and it came in comeback fashion. Norberto Obeso doubled home Jesus Severino with the game's first run after Severino was hit by a pitch before proceeding to steal second. Severino scored the tying in the eighth after doubling and coming home on an Andy Fuentes sacrifice fly. Jesus Navarro tripled in the ninth and scurried home on a wild pitch for the winning run. Obeso was 3-for-3 on the day with a pair of doubles but Severino reached base four times with two hits, a walk and a plunk. Francisco Rodriguez had a triple while Kevin Vicuna and Christian Peguero had a base hit apiece.
Wilfri Aleton went the first three innings and recorded a Game Score of 54 by holding the White Sox to a run on two hits and a walk. He had three strikeouts and six ground ball outs. Jose Dominguez walked a couple but struck out one in a shutout fourth. Joel Espinal gave up the other run on three hits and a walk over three innings while striking out one. Jose Acosta (1-0) got five outs, one of them a strikeout, as he gave up a hit and a walk. Tommy Henriquez stranded Acosta's runners with a game-ending strikeout for the save.
