Notice a pattern yet?  Yes, all the Photos of the Day so far have been of the off-season acquisitions.  And today's is no different, featuring Bengie Molina as well as a bonus appearance by Photo of the Day favourite Joey Gathright:

Aaron Reynolds uses Pentax cameras and lenses and loves 'em to death.  Why doesn't he marry them?  Well, it's not legal in this country.

Molina is actually not too bad at getting out from behind the plate.  His fastest 15 feet might be the first 15.

Another fine shot.

Great photo. I don't think Bengie's gonna catch him tho!
All the talk about Bengie being so slow, I think adds to his likability. Sure, it's frustrating when he can't make it to third on a sac bunt, but it is fun to watch and certainly is fun to cheer him on as he lumbers around the bases.

Curious, when can we expect the first POTD involving everyone's favorite Doctor? We've seen Ryan, Glaus, and Molina, so I figure at least one with Overbay is due before Doc. Will Doc sneak in before Burnett, due to his delayed start? I guess we'll have to stay tuned!

I'm in desparate need of a new desktop image, and its gotta be Doc - even if he did break my heart on Sunday.

You're right, Overbay will be next.  I have good stuff of Adams trying to steal a base and Hill reaching out to foul off a ball in the can and ready to go, but I can slot in Doc before those two.  I'll make sure it's horizontal so that it'll make a good desktop.

When will Burnett's first home start be?  If it's a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday I'll do my damnedest to be there.  If it's another day, I'll have to wait for his next home start.

That's my bro Bengie. Don't let his basespeed fool you, he's got good footwork for a bunted ball. Nice picture.

Burnett's first home start looks like Friday because that would give him four days rest and it would be conveniently after Doc's Wednesday start. Should be fun to get that first start in front of a big crowd.

If he has been moved up to this Saturday as reported today, Burnett will make his home debut either next Friday or Saturday. There are only three games between this Saturday and the following Friday, but five days. It sounds like Roy is going to return for that first game at home on Friday the 21st, bringing A.J. to the mound on Saturday.

*crosses fingers*

Which series is that in?  Due to the chaos surrounding the Yankees and Red Sox games here, I can't get in to shoot those ones.  As a result, I think the next series I'll be photographing is Baltimore in two weeks.

If you guys want to work out the rotations for me and tell me what games to go to, I'd be more than appreciative.
