Ugh. I don't think when JP was planning this season he was expecting that, in late April, the Jays would be rolling out an offense containing three catchers and Joe Inglett, no surprise the offense was it's usual lackluster self last night.

Recently, WPA has become a favourite stat to evaluate relievers. Care to guess which reliever is leading the majors so far in WPA?
Jays
shut down by Armando Galarrage!?!
It seemed like just a
week ago that I was wrote about the Jays having little success against inexperienced pitchers.
Well now, home entertainment was my baby's wish
So I hopped into town for a satellite dish
I tied it to the top of my Japanese car
I came home and I pointed it out into the stars
A message came back from the great beyond
There's fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
And just relax and sing a song
And drive your car up on the lawn
And let me play your guitar
The Jays continue their struggles at home; despite receiving a fine outing from Roy Halladay the offense could only manage 1 run and the good doctor took the loss.
I hate hitting into double plays, not beating up on young pitchers and Kevin Millar.
Other than that
last night was great!
OK, they're actually tied for first.
And we're not even halfway through April.
Roy Halladay starts in Arlington and doesn't leave the game with a gruesome injury. To add insult to injury, or lack thereof, he goes the route and the Jays win 4-1.
Hey, that's Vernon Wells' picture on the ESPN leader board! Tied for the AL lead in RBIs! He's on pace to drive in 192! A new record!
Well, that's kind of unlikely.
Heartbreak again as the Jays waste a fine start from Shaun Marcum and get swept in a pretty exciting series of baseball. Unless you're a Jays fan, that is.
Although they were ahead for most of the night, I never thought the Jays were going to win that one.

Off day yesterday. The Jays face off against the A's and Chad Gaudin
tonight. Burnett takes the hill for the good guys.
Word is that BJ Ryan and Scott Rolen
are right on track for their returns.
I'm really not one of those old fogeys who grumbles that things were
way better back in my day. I'm really not. I make a point of not being
one of those guys.
