The Jays will be making just their third visit to PNC Park in Pittsburgh. They lost two of three in 2014, when the Pirates were pretty good. They lost two of three in 2008, when the Pirates were pretty awful. I have my own reasons for worrying about the 2022 Pirates. But later for that.
Buffalo were in playoff contention recently but they have hit a tough spell, losing three of their last four and they are slipping behind. They have been short of starting pitching all season and their hitters have cooled. They lost a tough game on Thursday. New Hampshire have no hope of the playoffs and were hammered. Vancouver and Dunedin are the playoff hopefuls. Vancouver are in with a good shot of the playoffs but lost in extra innings last night. Dunedin were rained out.

Vancouver's doubleheader sweep were the only wins on Wednesday. Dunedin was walked off. Buffalo and New Hampshire had nights to forget.

Buffalo won big and Dunedin and Vancouver came up with big wins in their push for the postseason. New Hampshire let one get away late.
It's been a while since we've seen these guys.
Avert your gaze if you don't want the bad news. Buffalo were blown out. New Hampshire too. Dunedin were shutout. Vancouver gave Hillsboro a game but they too finally succumbed.

After four wins on Friday, the only win on Saturday came from Dunedin where Kendry and Yondrei Rojas combined for eight innings. Buffalo, New Hampshire and Vancouver lost.

Peyton Williams hit his first pro home run for Dunedin tonight. He liked it so much he hit his second the next time up. But the performance of the night was pitcher Trenton Wallace who struck out eleven. That is a rare feat these days. It was a good night on the farm as all four affiliates won.

Why, there are Angels in our midst.
New Hampshire win in extras thanks to Sebastian Espino. Dunedin win in a shortened game thanks to Devonte Brown. Vancouver won in regulation thanks to Damiano Palmegiaini. Buffalo came out on the losing end.
Buffalo and Dunedin were your Wednesday winners. It was not a nice day for a ball game for New Hampshire or Vancouver.
Buffalo and New Hampshire hit their share of homers but could not find the win column. Vancouver came back to win their game as did the DSL squad. Dunedin's late rally fizzled out and the FCL club was shut out.
It's been a strange year in the Old Town.
I did a time waster the other day on the last man born in each decade to play in the majors. An obvious companion piece came to mind, completely unbidden. What could I do?
