The long awaited trade with the Phillies was Rosario for cash?  Apparently, $100,000 was the price.

I thought there would be several teams that could use Rosario, even for a long shot prospect in A ball, but I apparently thought wrong.

Chacin was stopped by Tampa Police at 3:43 a.m., booked, then released on a $500 bond later in the morning.  Police reports said his blood alcohol content measured .15 at the time of his arrest, almost twice the legal limit of .08.

Alex Rios and the Jays agreed on a one year, $2.535 million contract, essentially splitting the difference between their arbitration figures.

A Canadian Press story on the Globe's website reports that the Blue Jays have signed Victor Zambrano to a minor league contract.  Additionally, the deal includes a team option for 2008.

Zambrano missed most of 2006 after having Tommy John surgery in May.

According to Ken Rosenthal the Blue Jays have signed Tomo Ohka to a 1 year contract. Jeff Blair writes that the deal is for $1.5 million with incentives that could push the deal to $3.0 million.

ESPN.com reports that the deal is pending a physical set to take place later this week. Ohka is currently in Japan.
