I'm half-asleep now and so, presumably, were the Blue Jays. I hate soft-tossing lefties, especially ones that take forever to throw the damn ball. 4-3 Mariners, final score.

So, what do all you night owls think? How about that O-Dog?

A big assist to home plate umpire Larry Vanover on this one: comparisons between Jason Frasor's and Jamie Moyer/Eddie Guardado's strike zones were brutal indeed; poor Gibby looked steamed.

Oh, and in other news, the Angels made the draft a little more predictable and got a midnight deal signed with Jared Weaver.

And now Drew the Younger signs with the D-backs. Couldn't find a link besides fanball.com but there you go

The Jays have never had much luck with Jamie Moyer, in any of their iterations. Sometimes I think he's the ghost of Frank Tanana. If there was one Mariners pitcher likely to beat Toronto, Moyer was it. So with him out of the way, the Jays should be gearing up to take the next two games in Safeco. They need to stop this latest losing streak tonight.
