The Toronto Blue Jays have four picks on day one of the 2022 MLB Draft which gets underway at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time on MLB Network and ESPN. For the MLB.com Draft Tracker, click here. The Blue Jays will be picking 23rd, 60th, 77th and 78th with the latter picks as free agent compensation for losing Robbie Ray and Marcus Semien. The Baltimore Orioles have the first overall pick.

Baseball America is projecting the Jays will take California outfielder Dylan Beavers with the 23rd overall pick. MLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo and Jim Callis believe Toronto will go the high school route with Mayo saying Texas High School shortstop Jett Williams will be the Jays selection while Callis believes it will be Columbia High School third baseman Tucker Toman.

The 2021 Major League Baseball draft concludes today with rounds 11-20. The Toronto Blue Jays have selected eight pitchers and one outfielder with their first 10 picks.

The Toronto Blue Jays selected Ole Miss righthander Gunnar Hoglund with the 19th pick Sunday. Rounds 2-10 will take place in Denver this afternoon.

The Pittsburgh Pirates took Louisville catcher Henry Davis with the first overall pick of the 2021 Major League Baseball Draft. Vanderbilt righty Jack Leiter was taken second by Texas while Oklahoma high school hurler Jackson Jobe went third to Detroit. Marcelo Mayer—considered by many to be the best prospect in the draft—slipped all the way to Boston at number four and outfielder Colton Cowser from Sam Houston State went to Baltimore with pick number five.

Vanderbilt infielder/outfielder Austin Martin was taken by the Toronto Blue Jays with the fifth overall pick of the 2020 draft Wednesday.

Round 1 of the 2020 Major League Baseball Draft is tonight. Detroit has taken Arizona State slugger Spencer Torkelson with the first overall pick and Arkansas outfielder Heston Kjerstad goes to Baltimore with the second pick. Miami selected right-hander Max Meyer from Minnesota at number three and Kansas City grabbed Texas A&M lefty Asa Lacy. Vanderbilt shortstop/outfielder Austin Martin—predicted by many to go number two overall—is now a Toronto Blue Jay at pick number five.
