The Blue Jays have the 102nd pick in the third round to begin Day 2 of the 2016 Rule 4 Draft. Rounds 3-10 will be held today and rounds 11-40 will be done Saturday. You can check out all the proceedings right here.

Today was the draft. None of the picks look all that exciting to me. Our Jays can’t seem to put teams away. But hey, we still have minor league baseball. Five affiliates were in action tonight and there were two wins to report.

The Blue Jays used the 21st selection of the Rule 4 Draft to take T.J. Zeuch, a righthander from the University of Pittsburgh. You can follow the draft right here.

The Blue Jays are back to their concrete nest to take on the Broad Street Bullies from Baltimore in a four-game set.

The 2016 Major League Baseball Draft is set to go Thursday evening at the MLB Network studios in Secaucus, New Jersey. The Blue Jays are picking 21st overall.


The Blue Jays selected righthander Jon Harris from Missouri State with the 29th pick of the 2015 draft.

Dunedin had the only win on Wednesday, an eighth inning four run burst won it. Conner Greene pitched six good innings. Lansing conceded four runs in the eighth in their wild game. They lost 14-12 with seven of their runs being unearned. Tom Robson had a rough start. Buffalo and New Hampshire lost tight games. Dalton Pompey had two more hits.

The two split season teams, Dunedin and Lansing, are a week away from the end of their first halves. Neither team will make the playoffs from the first half, they will have to play better in the second half.

Dunedin enjoyed a second straight night off. The boys in Boca Chica were rained out. That's your good news on a turdriffic Tuesday.

It was not a great Monday night at the farm as the affiliates went 0-3. The good news was Dunedin's game in Palm Beach was washed out and Lansing had the night off.

Jonathan Davis had two home runs for the Dunedin Jays by the third inning. That was more than Chris Rowley needed as he went 6.2 shutout innings. Sean Reid-Foley pitched six shutout innings for the Lugnuts but didn't feature in the decision. Lansing scored five runs between the seventh and eight innings to win. Justin Atkinson hit a big go-ahead home run. Four New Hampshire pitchers combined on a shutout. Jason Leblebijian and Wilkin Castillo each had three hits as part of an eight run barrage.

If you now have that song stuck in your head, my evil plan is working.... (Wuhahahah!)

An injury to Jon Harris put a damper on an otherwise stellar night on the farm. Three wins and a couple solid performances by some well-regarded prospects.

Scott Diamond pitched eight strong shutout innings and left just two runners on base. A couple of home runs helped the Bisons to a 4-0 win. Frank (Francisco) Rios struggled through two innings but then settled down to lead the Dunedin Jays to a win. Tayler (hot sauce) Saucedo pitched seven shutout innings as Lansing won 6-0. New Hampshire were the only losers despite another home run from Rowdy Tellez.

All four affiliates found the win column with only a doubleheader split preventing a 5-0 Tuesday on the farm.
