Buffalo and Dunedin won, Vancouver had a bad day. New Hampshire lost but they keep hitting home runs. And we have to talk about Colby Martin and his amazing run.

New Hampshire have not been having the best of seasons, entering Saturday with a 13-21 record. But they won both ends of a doubleheader. Buffalo also won. Vancoyver were rained out and the other two teams lost.

News came yesterday that Trey Yesavage, Khal Stephen and Gage Stanifer are headed to Vancouver. Ryan Jennings get bumped up to Buffalo. We look at the Vancouver and Dunedin rotations below. On the field the FCL Jays were the only winners.

Just two wins and three loses for the affiliates. Even though the losses outnumbered the wins, there were several very good performances. Yohendrick Pinango, Joey Loperfido and Edward Duran stayed hot. Some of other players produced excellent performances to get back on track.

Buffalo blew it but Vancouver, Dunedin and the Florida Coast League Blue Jays all won with the latter sweeping a doubleheader.


Arjun Nimmala and the Vancouver Canadians paid tribute to the Vancouver Ashai baseball team by wearing Asahi jerseys at Nat Bailey Stadium on Tuesday. The Asahi was a Japanese-Canadian baseball club that played in Vancouver from 1914 to 1941.

Juaron Watts Brown had an excellent start but Vancouver lost in ten innings. Buffalo also lost but New Hampshire and Dunedin won.

Just two wins on Saturday. Alan Roden had three hits and is dominating AAA (in just three games). He has eight hits and is hitting .571. RJ Schreck hit a couple of home runs and Gilberto Batista had nine strikeouts.

Four games, four wins, 42 runs, 52 hits. It all came up roses on Friday for the affiliates.

It was good news in Vancouver and Dunedin. Sean Keys and Carter Cunningham had big offensive games. Fernando Perez pitched well. For Dunedin Jean Joseph hit a ninth inning home run to break a tie. The FCL Jays also won while Buffalo lost. New Hampshire were rained out.

Buffalo loses to St. Paul, Dunedin victorious over Fort Myers, More double dipping in New Hampshire, Vancouver travels to Spokane.

New Hampshire’s game was postponed due to inclement weather. That’s the only good news here.

Hits were in short supply on Sunday. In five games the Jays affiliates had 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 hits. The only game they won was the game with four hits. Will Robertson provided the big hit to get the win for Buffalo.

Khal Stephen dominated Daytona and Dunedin scored 14 for a win. It is a race between him and Yesavage to see who gets to Vancouver first. The FCL Jays started their season with a win for a Florida double. Vancouver also had a big win. New Hampshire won a 1-0 game. Buffalo were the only losers.

Two wins for the affiliates. Ryan Watson spun a gem while Schreck woke up from his slumber. Yhoangel Aponte also had a big game as did Orelvis Martinez.
