Been a while since I've done one of these...

This is the last full week of spring training. The Jays play through Monday of next week, before travelling to New York for an April fool start to the season.

So about half way (2 weeks done, 2 weeks and 2 games to go) where are the Jays at? Are the questions getting answered?

Today is February 28th and it is also the first day for spring training games. The Jays take on the Yankees at 1pm in a 7 inning game. This year MLB allows shorter games in the first half of spring training. MLB will also allow a team to declare an inning over if the pitcher has throws 20 pitches, irrespective of the number of outs. You can see today's Yankee game on Sportsnet, or on the MLB Network. On Monday and Tuesday the Jays face the Pirates and Phillies.

We're all wondering about prospects as the Jays have made trades, promoted guys, have a lot in the top 100 right now.  So lets look at some history.  Baseball America has been doing Jay top 10 lists for prospects since 1983, top 100's for MLB since 1990 roughly.  So I thought lets do a summary of them.  I thought about others - MLB.com's (2012 and up), Baseball Prospectus (2007 and up) but BA's was easiest to find and actually has guys whose careers have ended for sure so more useful for this purpose.

Today is the first day of spring training. Pitchers and catchers are in camp and they are working out. The Canadian based reporters are not there so we are still relying on zoom updates. And there were some updates today.

The Minors are now set for a decade. No worries about the Jays ending up in Vegas again.

Well, that was unexpected.

The Top Prospect Lists are coming at last from assorted sites.

Not 100% official but with the amount of smoke I think we have someone taking the Jays money at last.
