I saw the below cartoon today and just absolutely could not resist, because it leads to such an interesting QOTD (remember those?) ...
It's a battle of lefties: Gustavo Chacin vs Dave Williams. Or, if you prefer, the ace of the 2004 New Hampshire Fisher Cats vs the ace of the 2000 Hickory Crawdads.
No radio over the air and no radio at either team's official site. Looks like some Yahoo! boxscore following for us today.

There are nine days to go until the start of the minor league seasons and the roster shuffling has started already with six pitchers released by the Jays.

What a crappy game. Was there anything noteworthy about it?
I can't think of anything. I thought about it for hours and I couldn't come up with anything to say about yesterday's game. This should be a fun Game Report, then.

Dave Bidini, author of Baseballissimo wanted me to pass this along to you. Baseballissimo is easily the best baseball-related book I read all of last year, so I encourage you to go out and get a copy if you haven't already.
It's the penultimate home game of the Spring today. The Yankees visit with Jaret Wright on the mound, the Jays send out David Bush. Kerry Ligtenberg, Vinnie Chulk and Justin Miller are also expected to pitch according to Dr Fence.
This one is on the mlb.com, anyone know if there is a free webcast anywhere ?

Now that the Sox really know what it's like not to sing the blues, what will they do for an encore?
We asked the Batters Box roster for their opinions on some key Red Sox questions.
Is 4-zip a good enough beating NFH ?
Excellent game for the good guys yesterday, Walker, League, Glynn, Downs and Whiteside combined for a one-hit shutout of Detroit and the Jays won their 14th game of the Spring.
Let’s clear a few things up right now:
Each year, I always enjoy seeing the Jays' upcoming schedule: look at all that baseball waiting to be played! The following are some random ramblings on the subject.
Again, happy long weekend news: this game is being broadcast on the radio and at
http://fan590.com . Perhaps today the Jays can take some revenge for that unhappy homestand that opened last season at the then-SkyDome and beat the tar outta the Tigers today?
I'd be up for that.
As Spring Training draws to a close and the brilliant specter of another Opening Day looms, it's time to present the 10th of what will be 12 "all-month" teams for your discussion and mocker ... er, analysis.
Not much to report from yesterday's game. At least not much good. Well, Batista and Chulk didn't give up any runs. Alex Rios got two hits, one of them double in 4 at-bats. I'd tell you more, but...
The Orioles nudged closer to a winning record last year and climbed out of the fourth place cellar. This year they should be able to conclude the long journey back to a winning season, but not by much.

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying something like "I feel a bit lightheaded; maybe you should drive..." And suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us and the sky was full of what looked like huge bats....
Hunter Thompson is gone. There are no frightening bats in the desert.
