Welcome to the Blue Jays Top 30 list for another year. It is the 21st edition of the Top 30, we are all grown up. It was a tough year on the farm with pitchers undergoing Tommy John surgery being the top story.

Three of last year's Top 30 graduated to the major league team, Spencer Horwitz, Leo Jiménez and Addison Barger. One member of last year's top 30 was traded, that being Yosver Zulueta. That leaves 26 players from last year's list and 15 of them are repeating on this list. Between the graduates, the trade and the sropped players, there is room for 15 new prospects.

The other big story of the season was the trades made at the end of July. The trades added players to the system as did the 2024 draft. Several of those players are now on this top years top 30. That left room for six players who were in the system in 2023 and improved to get on this list.

Another minor league season comes to an end. It has not been one that will be remembered fondly. Only Vancouver made the playoffs. The other teams were lackluster and it required an injection of new faces at the trade deadline to create some interest in the last two months. Pitchers were falling like flies with most of the best pitching prospects needing Tommy John surgery. The best hitting prospect coming into the season missed time with a drugs ban. And yet the players who did get the call to the major league generally performed decently. And that is the minor leagues, the win/loss record doesn't matter, can you get one or two players a year to become part of your major league team? Fittingly Buffalo lost their last game.

Another loss for Buffalo but at least they scored five runs. Trenton Wallace could not escape the first inning. Josh Kasevich homered, again. Scranton hit four home runs, two by former Yankee Oswaldo Peraza.

The Bisons once again could only score one run. It took a Dunedin call up to drive in that one run. After losing 4-1 on Thursday, the Bisons lost 5-1 on Friday. Eric Pardinho continues to pitch well.

It has not been a good season in New Hampshire. Their season finished Sunday with another loss. Buffalo also lost as Jake Bloss had some good and some bad. Speaking of good, Josh Kasevich homered again.

Vancouver lost in extra innings and their season is over. The loss in the tenth was a bit of a disaster featuring a bunt single, an error and a walk off hit by pitch. Buffalo won with Alan Roden homering. New Hampshire lost. Their season ends today and it was not one to remember. Their record stands at 52-83. Vancouver won their title last season but that success didn't hold up at the AA level.
