New Hampshire win in extras thanks to Sebastian Espino. Dunedin win in a shortened game thanks to Devonte Brown. Vancouver won in regulation thanks to Damiano Palmegiaini. Buffalo came out on the losing end.

Buffalo and Dunedin were your Wednesday winners. It was not a nice day for a ball game for New Hampshire or Vancouver.

Buffalo and New Hampshire hit their share of homers but could not find the win column. Vancouver came back to win their game as did the DSL squad. Dunedin's late rally fizzled out and the FCL club was shut out.

It's been a strange year in the Old Town.

I did a time waster the other day on the last man born in each decade to play in the majors. An obvious companion piece came to mind, completely unbidden. What could I do?

Orelvis Martinez hit his 28th home run on Sunday, a new Fisher Cats record. Martinez has not shown a lot of development this season, his batting average is under .200 over the last two months. He has walked more in the last week but that was after a homer barrage which suggests the pitchers are being careful rather than Orelvis improving his eye. New Hampshire won with Jimmy Robbins doing well on his AA debut. Dunedin had a big come from behind win capped by a walk off home run from Cade Doughty, his second homer in the game. Buffalo and Vancouver lost.

Rafael Lantigua, still fresh in AAA, drove in seven runs, four of them with a grand slam. Sem Robberse did OK in his AA debut while Dahian Santos didn't do so well in Vancouver. Lantigua helped Buffalo win, while Dunedin also won. New Hampshire and Vancouver lost.

Buffalo and New Hampshire outhit their opponents but lost. Vancouver and Dunedin continued their winning ways. Gabriel Moreno missed the Buffalo game, he was expected to be back in there.

A couple of under the radar pitchers, Sean Mellen and Geison Urbaez, picked up seven strikeouts each. Buffalo, Vancouver and Dunedin won. New Hampshire lost. PK Morris had a grand slam for Vancouver and Rainer Nunez also homered but in a tied game in the ninth inning the catcher, Andres Sosa, stole two bases and scored on a ground out to win the game for the C's.

A winning Wednesday in the middle of the system gave the affiliates a 3-2 record.

When an irresistible force collides with an immovable object, it's a sight to see.

Buffalo, New Hampshire, Vancouver and Dunedin all found the win column Tuesday. The Complex League teams did not.

It would be more fun if this was the major leagues but instead it's the Dunedin Blue Jays no-hitting the Tampa Yankees. Four pitchers combined on the no-hitter. Normally Estiven Machado hitting a grand slam would make top billing but he had to settle for number two behind the no-hitter. Buffalo had six pitchers combine to shutout the Mets. Andres Sosa had a big day for Vancouver to help them win. New Hampshire were on the losing end.
